My bride and I were doing our Bible study one night, and she said something that was interesting, she said, "everyone has a platform in which they display themselves to others"
when she said that, I had to think about that, and I thought to myself, there is a lot of truth to that statement, and it hit me so hard that I had to write about it. I pray you enjoy this inspiring insight from my bride of 43 years.

Today’s interconnected world, every person, regardless of status, stage of life, or spiritual maturity, has a platform. Whether you realize it or not, your life is speaking. Your words, actions, posts, and even your silence proclaim something to the world. So, here’s the big question: What is your platform saying about you?
1. Everyone Has a Platform
Some people think that a platform is only for pastors, influencers, or politicians. But the truth is, God gave every person a sphere of influence, to prove that no life is insignificant and no voice is to small to make a difference. Whether it’s your job, your family, your social media, or even how you treat the cashier at the grocery store, you are representing something and someone. Your life is either a spotlight on yourself or a reflection of the Savior, choose to shine for something greater.
📖 "In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven." — Matthew 5:16 (NIV)
Your platform isn’t about popularity, it’s about purpose. You don’t need a pulpit to preach; your life is the sermon. You are either influencing people toward God, or away from Him. Neutrality doesn’t exist on the spiritual battlefield. Whether online or offline, you’re always showing the world what you value. People may never read a Bible, but they will read your life, so live a story worth pointing them to Jesus.

2. Platforms Reveal What’s in Your Heart
The Bible reminds us that the mouth speaks what the heart is full of (Luke 6:45). In today’s terms, your platform reflects your heart. What you share, promote, and post points directly to what you treasure. Is it Christ—or is it self?
📖 “Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.” — Proverbs 4:23 (NIV)
People can see your passions, your priorities, and your principles through your platform. What you broadcast reflects what you believe, and what you believe shapes your destiny. You might be the only Bible someone reads today, and they’re reading through your posts, your conversations, and your life.
3. Godly vs. Worldly Platforms
There are two kinds of platforms: Godly and worldly. A worldly platform exalts self, fame, influence, money, or approval. A godly platform exalts Christ, truth, humility, grace, and service. It’s not about having a big platform; it’s about having a righteous one.
📖 “Do not conform to the pattern of this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” — Romans 12:2 (NIV)
A worldly platform seeks applause. A godly platform seeks alignment with God’s heart. A God-centered platform says, “Not my will, but Yours be done.” It uses influence not for self-promotion but for eternal impact.

4. Maturity Is Measured by How You Use Your Platform
Spiritual maturity isn’t just about how much Scripture you know; it’s how you apply it. The way you handle your platform, especially in hard moments, shows your maturity. Do you respond with grace when offended? Do you post with wisdom or just react?
📖 “The wise store up knowledge, but the mouth of a fool invites ruin.” — Proverbs 10:14 (NIV)
Maturity doesn’t scream to be seen, it speaks when it matters most, with wisdom and restraint. Immature people use their platform to vent. Mature believers use their platform to build, bless, and bring people closer to Christ. There’s a difference between noise and influence, and maturity knows the difference. I see it this way, Immaturity vents to be heard; maturity speaks to be helpful. One stirs the noise, the other steers the soul.
5. Your Platform Is a Stewardship
If you really think about it, as believer in Christ your platform is not really yours, it’s God’s gift and your responsibility. One day, you’ll give an account for how you used your influence. Did you use it to build up others, glorify God, and reflect Christ? Or was it used for selfish ambition and empty recognition?
📖 “So then, each of us will give an account of ourselves to God.” — Romans 14:12 (NIV)
What you say with your platform today echoes into eternity. Influence is a gift; stewardship is your calling. Your platform is sacred space. Use it wisely. Don’t waste it trying to go viral—use it to make an eternal impact.

6. A Platform Rooted in Christ Lasts Forever
Earthly platforms fade. Followers disappear. Trends change. But a platform rooted in Christ is unshakable and eternal. The greatest influence you’ll ever have is in pointing people to Jesus. The most lasting influence isn’t how many people follow you, but how many you lead to Jesus.
Eternal impact begins with kingdom focus
📖 “The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of our God endures forever.” — Isaiah 40:8 (NIV)

Platforms built on trends crumble with time. But platforms built on truth stand tall through eternity. You may never have millions of followers, but if your life leads one soul to Christ, your platform has fulfilled its purpose, as Jesus himself wisely put it, that even the shepherd left the ninety-nine, to find the one.
Final Thoughts: What Is Your Platform Saying?
Take a moment to evaluate: What message is your platform communicating? Does your life and online presence reflect Jesus? You don’t have to be famous to be faithful, just be intentional. Because your platform is more powerful than you think, and that you are not meant to blend in, but designed to stand out.
Let your platform speak life. Let it speak faith. Let it speak Jesus.

🙏 Reflection Questions:
What message does my platform currently send to others?
Am I using my influence to glorify God or myself?
What changes can I make to ensure my platform reflects Christ more clearly?
🔥 Call to Action:
This week, pray over your platform. Ask God to purify your motives and give you wisdom in how you use your influence. Post something that honors Him. Speak life. Serve others. And remember—you don’t need a big platform to make a big impact. You just need a faithful heart.
